Someone down in Miami seems to think that Bill Parcells would like to make recently released Micheal Vick a Dolphin. Seriously? I doubt that Parcells wants the headaches that is going to come with signing Vick. IF Vick is reinstated by Goodell, (who is in no hurry to make a decision regarding Vick’s possible reinstatement) Vick is going to be a major distraction to whatever team signs him.

As most of you know Vick took a construction job after being released from prison, where he was making $10 and hour. A far cry from the millions he is used to making as a starting NFL quarterback. Vick has decided working construction is not for him, and has accepted a position working with a Boys and Girls Club in Virginia. Now how long that will last, only time will tell. I’m fairly sure that the parents are going to have mixed emotions about this one. I keep reading about how Vick has repaid his debt to society, well that may be true but he can’t expect to be welcomed back into society with open arms. Some people in the world will probably never forgive Vick for his actions.

The shake joints are once again off limits for Dallas residents to enjoy . Pacman Jones is being given yet another chance to prove himself a waste of space in the NFL. Pacman must have some really good dirt on Roger Goodell, that’s the only thing that can explain this latest chance. Goodell has been handing out season suspensions like candy, but yet continues to allow Pacman to continue to be reinstated? I just don’t get it.

I wonder if Jerry Jones will have some music playing for Pacman when he returns to Valley Ranch, you know some catchy tune like Journey’s *Open Arms*. Or maybe some 3 Doors Down *Here Without You*, cause as we all know, Jerry loves him some Pacman. With these cold nights now upon us, I’m sure Jerry is happy to have Pacman back to spoon with. Sorry for what I’m sure is a disturbing mental image, but I have grown tired of the *halfway house* mentality in which Jerry Jones runs this team.

When Pacman was bought in Jerry decided to hire a group of body guards to police Pacman and keep him out of trouble. We all see how that worked out. When Pacman rejoins the team, there will be no body guards. Lets face it Pacman is going to fail miserably, now the only question left is when. We have all seen how he handles himself with, and without body guards. You know when Michael Irvin was with the Cowboys, and going through all his off the field issues it was almost understandable why Jones stood behind him. Irvin was a playmaker, he was earning every penny that Jones invested in him. Now I am not defending the actions of Micheal Irvin, just using him as an example to make a point. Pacman has really done nothing with the Cowboys. There have been no explosive kickoff, or punt returns. If nothing else that has been a major disappointment, and almost always ends up with a *block in the back* penalty. On defense Pacman’s coverage abilities leave something to be desired.

Jerry Jones has made a career out of taking in the strays of the NFL, but this stray needs to stay on the streets of free agency. Pacman has proven time and time again he just doesn’t get it. He does not understand the meaning of the word *accountability*. He also doesn’t understand what it means to be part of a team.

Pacman, I leave you with this!

Seems Michael Vick expects to be reinstated by Roger Goodell after he is done with his prison sentence. Vick’s bankruptcy lawyer has written out a nice little plan for Vick to repay all debts on IF he is reinstated. This seems like the *Wimpy* theory, *I’ll gladly pay you on Tuesday for a hamburger today*.

I’m not real sure that I would expect to be reinstated if I were Vick. Keep in mind he did stand in Roger Goodell’s office and flat out lie to him. Goodell has established himself as the new sheriff in town, so reinstatement is not a guaranteed thing for Vick. I know if Vick is reinstated there is some team that will take a chance on him, he has to much athletic ability. I seriously doubt any team would hand him a starting quarterback position thought. I have said it in previous posts, and I will say it again. Any team that signs Vick even to a practice squad is asking for a P.R. nightmare. I guess we will see what happens when Vick is released.

Michael Vick is still under contract with the Atlanta Falcons. I highly doubt the Falcons will want to have anything to do with Vick when and if he is reinstated.

Here is your no sh*t headline of the day Pacman receives full reinstation from Roger Goodell. Did you really think the Devil aka Jerry Jones would have sent a conditional draft pick to the Titans if he didn’t think Goodell would reinstate Pacman? Lets hope that Pacman remembers this is his LAST chance *again* and does something positive with his third chance in the NFL. With all the media a buzz about this Cowboys team, and basically already punching the Cowboys ticket to Tampa Bay they can not afford any off the field issues from any players, including Pacman. They do not need the distractions. This team has been able to get through the circus that came to town when the Cowboys signed T.O. They have been able to handle the circus that comes to town when the airhead decides to show up to support her man, sporting her pink jersey I might add. *Looks for trash can to hurl in* This team has been able to overcome alot of the media circus. Pacman should be no different, unless he decides to visit a shake joint and make it rain!

Or has Liverdamage likes to say *Make It Sleet*. ( Take a roll full of nickels in and toss them up on stage by the handful*

-Spend your hard earned money on *insert favorite teams name here* merchandise

The Dont’s

• Drunkenness and signs of alcohol impairment that result in irresponsible behavior.

• Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.

• Interference with the progress of the game, including throwing objects onto the field.

• Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel.

• Verbal or physical harassment of fans from the opposing team.

“The in-stadium experience is critically important to the NFL, our clubs and our fans and it will be a major focus this season,” Goodell said in a statement. “We are committed to improving the fan experience in every way we can — from the time fans arrive in the parking lot to when they depart the stadium.”

Basically translated (We want your money) The happier fans are, the more money they will spend!

Now I will say this, when I have taken my daughter to games in the past, there is nothing worse then some foul mouthed fan behind us cussing at the top of his or in some cases her lungs. Then when you ask them to refrain because there are little ears present, your told “I paid for my tickets, I can say whatever I want.. Freedom of speech baby!! Yes I have actually been told this at a game. Small person actually had to keep me from snatching this fan over the seat and beating the living hell out of them. Freedom of speech, and buying a ticket share ABSOLUTLEY nothing in common. I am all for these new rules, will make going to games alittle better for the younger fans. Here is the only problem I see with this.

Who is going to be in charge of monitoring fans? Will it be a security guard on a power trip? Also if you have ever been to a big rival game I.E. Cowboys/Redskins game, then its second nature to exchange trash talking with the opposing teams fans. MOST of the time its all in good clean fun. The same rule does not apply with Philadelphia Eagles fans. They have got to be the WORST fans to ever love a team in the history of sports!

Now if we could just get the league to implement the *Hey you down in front, sit down* rule.. We would have something!!

Mr Ol Broad and I know all about this one!!! We spent half our time at this years Cotton Bowl yelling at the people in front of us to sit down! I’m all for people getting excited when a big play happens, but do we really need to stand up during a team timeout???

Episode 5 opens with the start of training camp in Green Bay, and no Favre. Favre and Packer GM Ted Thompson had a phone conversation over the weekend where Thompson asked Favre to hold off on reporting, to try and give the Packers a few more days to find a possible trade. So now Favre gets to sit and wait. In this conversation Favre also said he would come back and compete for the starting job, only to be told that is not a possibility, Aaron is our guy.

Now if I’m Brett Favre I’m thinking I have started every game for your organization over the last 16 seasons, I’m a 3 time MVP, I’ve taken your team to the Superbowl twice, winning one. I hold all quarterback records in the league. and your telling me that you want to start an unproven Aaron over me… *I’m Brett Favre B*tch*! Well unfortunately Brett, no one in the Packers organization gives a damn about your feelings or accomplishments, they just want you to go away.

They are not going to pay you the $12 million dollars you are owed this season to carry Aaron’s clipboard around, they are not going to out right release you so you can make them your b*tch, and they most certainly are not going to trade you to somewhere you want to go. They in fact want you to stay retired. Hey but hold you head up high Brett, you have been in talks with Goodell over the weekend as well, and I’m sure its only a matter of time before he sticks his nose in family business.

I couldn’t agree more, it’s time the NFL does something to get these big money contracts under control. The NFL could take a page from the NBA in regards to rookie contracts. A rookie in the NBA is only allowed to earn 1 million dollars of their contract the first year. The guaranteed money is the real problem with these rookie contracts. Example

Rookie A signs a contract for 6 years at $63 Million dollars w/$38.4 million guaranteed. Guess what, if that player goes into training camp and has a career ending injury, he never plays one down in the NFL and makes $38.4 million dollars. Rookie signing bonuses, and big money contracts are what drive veteran players that have stepped up and proven themselves, to hold out. Then fans, teammates, coaches, and owners question why this player would hold out. Well the holdout player isn’t stupid… He sees a unproven rookie coming into the league getting paid.. he feels he has EARNED some extra money coming his way.

The League should really look into the idea of *flat position pay*. Maybe then players would remember making it to the top of their chosen sport is an honor, not a paycheck. Players might remember they have passion for the sport, and remember exactly why they started playing the game.

Pacman Jones was granted *partial reinstatement* today from Roger Goodell. I guess it was time to give Pacman some yard time because his *partial reinstatement* allows him to

-Workout with the team at Valley Ranch

-Participate in Training Camp

-Participate in Preseason

I guess its a step in the right direction for someone who NO ONE feels should even be on a pee-wee football team. Pacman should be doing EVERYTHING in his power to walk the straight and narrow. First and foremost *STAY OUT OF THE SHAKE JOINTS* Not only to keep yourself out of trouble, but to protect the lives of Cowboy fans!!

Pacman has started surrounding himself with a better inner circle. One kind of sad thing, Michael Irvin is one of the new members of the inner circle, If Michael Irvin is a better influence, who the hell were you running with Pacman?? Charles Manson??? I know, I know, Irvin is a born again badboy who can now be a positive influence.. Hey Jerry, why don’t you bring in Nate Newton to join the new and improved inner circle, I’m sure he could help Pacman out also! I know this is a reach, but lets see if we can bring in Ricky Williams also.. He seems to think he has a *calming influence* on people… Wait.. scratch that Jerry, probably not a good idea..

Another trusted member of the new and improved inner circle is none other then Prime time Deion Sanders! Deion has been brought in to talk very softly to Pacman, you know as only Deion can do when its just he and someone else! I just hope Deion doesn’t use to many big words while whispering sweet nothings into Pacman’s ear. Please don’t get me wrong, I fully understand why these people have been brought in to kind of watch over, and help guide Pacman. It’s always easier to listen and accept guidance from someone who has been in your shoes before.

I really think its sad that a grown man has to have handlers, and people around him to make sure he stays out of trouble so he can continue to do something he loves *play football* and make money doing it. Pacman is not the only athlete that falls into this category here in Dallas, but that’s another story for another day.

Apparently Sen. Arlen Specter is not happy with the investigation Roger Goodell and the powers that be have done to get to the bottom of Spygate. When Spygate first broke Specter questioned why Goodell had the tapes turned over by the Patriots destroyed. Now that Goodell and the NFL has had a chance to sit down with Matt Walsh (former video asst.) for the Patriots and review all his tapes, they are ready to close the book. Goodell states there is no new information on these tapes to warrant any further action from the league. *Patriots fans everywhere may now breath a sigh of relief* Wait.. no I was just kidding.

Specter now is calling for a *objective independent investigation* into the matter? Does Specter have Sen. Mitchell on speed dial? Specter has made several comments in the last few days on Spygate including..

“If you can cheat in the NFL, you can cheat in college, you can cheat in high school, you can cheat on your grade-school math test. There’s no limit as to what you can do. I think they owe the public a lot more candor and a lot more credibility.”

Newsflash Specter if you have learned nothing else from Baseball, surely you have figured out if you want to cheat, your going to figure out a way to do it! Just by the above quote.. Your taking this thing way to far. I understand your upset your Eagles lost to the Patriots in Superbowl XLII. I also understand the chances of the Eagles winning a Superbowl in the near future is slim and none, but do you really want to strip the Patriots of the win, and hand your Eagles a ring and trophy??
