So I have been struggling with this question for the last few weeks. I have been trying to figure out who is a bigger idiot in the Michael Crabtree soap opera. Here are your choices for the biggest idiot here.

Michael Crabtree – Texas Tech (Cabbage Patch Kid) wide receiver who was drafted 10th over all by the San Francisco 49′ers in Aprils draft. He has yet to sign and in a *pout in the corner* temper tantrum move has threatened to sit out the entire NFL season, and re-enter the NFL draft next year. Crabtree wants a $40 Million dollar 5 year deal. How Crabtree can pass up $16 Million dollars guaranteed is beyond me. Whoever is telling Crabtree that he should sit out the entire year and re-enter the draft should probably be included in the question of who is the bigger idiot here. Also factor in the possibility of an NFL lockout after next season that $16 Million guaranteed sure does look nice, doesn’t it? Re-entering the draft next season will make Crabtree look even worse to teams then he already does.

San Francisco 49′ers – NFL Franchise dumb enough to draft Michael Crabtree, especially with all the drama and character issues that surround the Texas Tech receiver. I understand the fact that they are trying to rebuild in San Francisco but why take someone who other teams including the Cleveland Browns (who desperately need another wide receiver) passed on due to character issues during their interview prior to the draft.

Mel Kiper Jr. - He actually think that if Crabtree decides to re-enter the NFL draft next year he will be drafted in the top 10. He has actually projected Crabtree to be drafted higher then he was this season. There is a ton of talent entering the draft next season that includes Colt McCoy (Texas QB) Tim Tebow (FL QB) Sam Bradford (OU QB) and Jermaine Gresham (OU Tight End). With the constant praise and fuss made over Crabtree by Kiper, Crabtree is doomed to be a bust in the NFL. Mel Kiper Jr. has made a career at being as vague as possible when building his draft board. He has also made a career of telling NFL teams they should have never passed on certain players, then the player turns out to be a major bust.

Its a toss up between Crabtree and Kiper to me. On one had you have a diva wide receiver who has yet to play a down in the NFL wanting big money. On the other hand you have an established member of the media who year after year continues to prove he is an idiot. Decisions, decisions!

If you play fantasy football chances are you have used one or move of the excuses listed above. I myself have used the *I forgot about the bye week*. My hopes of becoming a back to back champion of one of my leagues was snapped like a twig when Tom Brady went down in the first 3 minutes of last season. My misery brought great joy to Liverdamage.

All this brings me to the official ESPN 2009 Fantasy Football Rankings & Projection. They have taken the time to give us their top 10 at each position. Its never to early to start doing your research so your ready on draft day.

Peta members untie, Micheal Vick has paid his debt to society (in a small way) and is once again a free man. Vick managed to walk out of prison undetected by any media early this morning. Now ESPN will have something to cover other then the Brett Favre drama. Now he can begin his journey to being reinstated into the NFL, though I’m sure Roger Goodell isn’t just going to welcome him back with open arms. Remember Vick did walk right into Goodell’s office and lie to him about having any involvement with the Bad Newz Kennel dogfighting ring. Not only was he the president, but he was also a client.

If Vick is reinstated by Goodell, the question remains *What NFL team will give him a chance*. The first team that came to my mind this morning was the Cowboys, because lets face it they have become the halfway house of the NFL. Jerry Jones loves him some hard headed thugs, at bargain basement prices. With the signing of Jon Kitna in the offseason, and the drafting of Stephen McGee (former Texas A&M spare QB) *shakes head* I doubt the Cowboys will be willing to carry 4 quarterbacks on the depth chart.

I will go on record now by saying if Micheal Vick is brought on by the Cowboys for anything including WATERBOY, I will turn in my Cowboys fan card! We the Cowboy fans can’t handle anymore stray thugs in the halfway house!

Well is time to start getting your big board ready for the upcoming NFL draft in April. It’s always entertaining to see the really early draft boards, and I gotta tell you I nearly pissed myself from laughter when I saw Mel Kiper Jr’s early board. Micheal Crabtree?? Are you f**king kidding me? Sure the kid has glue like hands, he also has weak ankles, is injury prone, runs poor routes, and has very little heart. The reason I added in the *little heart* was in reference to his comments after the loss to Ole Miss in this years Cotton bowl. He told reporters in a interview after the game that

1. He along with the rest of the team didn’t want to be there..

2. He didn’t really get up for that game..

3. It was just another bowl game..

In case your wondering how Crabtree did in the game, he had about 4 receptions for around 34 yards. He would leave the game early due to an ankle injury. Another interesting sidenote, Crabtree is from Dallas. The Cotton Bowl is in Dallas, wonder why he couldn’t get up to play in front of his hometown crowd, and family??

Mel, please don’t tell me you have put all your stock in a wide receiver from Texas Tech? ANYONE that can catch a ball can be a superstar wide receiver in that tricked up bitch ball offense. There is a joke that goes like this *Those who can’t get into community college, go to Texas Tech*. Having said that, the same thing applies for wide receivers and quarterbacks. You want to get noticed by the NFL, and have your face plastered all over ESPN every Saturday night? Go to Texas Tech. If your a quarterback your guaranteed to throw your arm out in a few seasons. 50+ passing attempts per game will wear out an arm, and help pad your passing yard stats. Tricked up spread offense quarterbacks rarely become more then a backup quarterback in the NFL.

Anyone remember Colt Brennan?? High up on Mel Kiper Jr’s draft board last year, currently a backup for the Washington Redskins. He was drafted in the 6th round (186) pick overall and signed a 4 year deal worth about $1.8 million dollars. Yeah Mel, you were only 160picks off on that one buddy! Seeing how you picked him to be an early to mid 1st round draft pick.

Here is Mel Kiper Jr’s big draft board right now. Now keep in mind it will change significantly leading up to, and after the NFL combine.

Allow me to introduce you to the REAL draft expert.

Rick *Goose* Gosselin. His draft day picks average between 83% – 88% accurate. Liverdamage brought the Goose to my attention several years ago, and lets just put it like this. In Goose We Trust. The year that Liverdamage brought the Goose to my attention, I printed out his final draft board, just to see how good he was. He missed 2 in the first 2 rounds. Only because there was a crazy trade in the first round.

*Quick email to Mel*

Dear Mel,

I am looking forward to seeing you on the draft coverage team this year. Please make sure you bring a comb to fix your hair, and you rest your voice the week leading up to the draft. I want to make sure your voice doesn’t begin to crack, or strain when you are yelling at teams for passing up on players. We all know your opinion is scripture, and the talent scouts that are paid by teams around the league don’t hold a candle to your ability pick talent. :rotflmao:

Sorry, that was rude of me to fall off my chair and laugh while writing you such a serious email, please forgive me. As I am not worthy to even speak to you. Your insight and wisdom is like no other I have ever seen. Wait, let me think about that last statement. Actually you and Emmitt Smith have alot in common. You both talk really loudly, and make little sense. You also compare to

Screamin A. Smith.

In closing I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for providing me months of entertainment. Without you pointing out how great the players on your draft board are, I would truly be lost. I’m sure teams around the league also need your words of wisdom to get them through those cold and lonely nights.

Yours truly,

A fan who thinks your full of sh*t each and every time you open your mouth.

P.S. The 80′s called and they would like their hairstyle back! *looks around* His hair scares me!!!

Probably not. I was just going for the longest Ick’s Corner headline award.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard Chris, Beanie, or Wells today, I don’t know… I’d have $60 or so. He led off every college football story on all the networks all week. He was the “story” before the game today. While I’m at it, let’s talk about that game. Why in hell is Ohio State vs. Ohio U on ESPN?

She-male, Pam Ward (in her usual Randy Macho Man Savage voice) talked about how Ohio State will play without Wells, how they will dress without Wells, how the hot dog vendors will feel about selling dogs to people unable to watch Wells. She hit it all. With the engraving all but done on Chris Wells’ 2008 Heisman, the media (ESPN) seems to be in full spin mode.

Quote of the day: “Wow, Wells is really missed today.” Of course this was during an Ohio U scoring drive. Not sure a running back would have much to say about all the yards they were eating up against OSU.

Sure, they were flat. Of course they were looking ahead to next week’s game with USC. But this team (with or without ESPN’s Heisman hopeful) is entirely beatable and very ordinary. The whole country will see this next week.

That doesn’t fix things. One (early season) loss probably gets you in to the championship game. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Ohio St. tip toes through a cupcake schedule, rolls into bowl season riding their usual media hype, gets passed around to another SEC team like a drunk prom date. Georgia? Auburn?

Vandy?
