2 years ago Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin were on the first thing smoking out of New York. Oh how the *what have you done for me lately* city changes it tune. After winning the Superbowl in 2007 Tom Coughlin got a new 5 year deal, and yesterday Eli Manning signed a 6 year extention to the tune of $97.5 million dollars. $35 Million guaranteed, making him the highest paid NFL player with a yearly salary just over $15 million dollars. I wonder how big brother Peyton feels about this. I mean serioulsy if you had your choice of Manning brothers, would you really take Eli over Peyton?

Peyton and Brady’s contracts are coming up, they’ll get paid more. The real question you need to ask yourself is “Is Eli 33% better than Garrard, Romo, Bulger, Stafford, etc”. 6 for 60+ is common place in the NFL. This is money well spent.
