My question is……………..WHY? My first thought, what is this teaching kids. It’s ok to be a horse’s rump, and you’ll be rewarded, even if it is “conditionally”?

That’s a great lesson for kids: the rich, talented and famous play by a different set of rules and are given as many chances as they need.
Seriously though, the “think of the children” argument is getting old. Boycott the team or at least change the channel if you are highly offended. A commissioner should not be responsible for your upholding your morals. Vick broke the law and was punished. He broke the conduct policy and is being punished.
Besides, if Leonard Little (the worst trash in the league) can play in the NFL then why can’t Vick?

Jigsaw? Dunno….maybe it was trying to put you together? :D
I’m not a big advocate of “it’s for the chillllllruns”, and you’re right, that dog has been beat to death. BUT…..when you’ve got a lot of kids who look up to sports figures, and personally, I can’t imagine why these days, they should be expected to uphold high standards. If the big money boys at the top of the food chain want to continue being the ‘big money boys’, they really need to rethink how this action will affect their bottom line. Parents aren’t going to spend money on a jersey, or jacket, or whatever, with a number/name of a feckless weasel. Well, at least smart parents won’t. :?
