I’m all for football but for some reason I see the United Football League going down in flames, kinda like the XFL(which only lasted one season) and others that tried to rival the NFL.  I would think that the whole purpose behind another football league would be to give fans in markets without an NFL team the chance to have a football team. The following cities will have teams in this new and upcoming league.

As you can see from the jump this league is failing miserably. The league is trying to recruit free agents, college players, and current NFL players by signing players to contracts well above the NFL minimum salary. The league has 4 previous NFL coaches ready to take the sidelines.

Ted Cottrell - Former Jets defensive coordinator will coach the New York franchise

Jim Fassel – Former Giants head coach will coach the Las Vegas franchise

Jim Haselt – Former Rams Coach will coach one of the remaining franchises

And last but not least.. Dennis Green!

The league is also trying to sign soon to be released Michael Vick?  Vick might be free form prison but is not free from the Atlanta Falcons, or a possible NFL suspension. Despite the fact that this is a PR nightmare waiting to happen, this could actually work out in Vick’s favor. He gets to play football, and make money. He also can show the NFL that he can still.. ummmm run? With a passer rating never higher then 66%, he is going to have alot to prove if he wants to be even a backup in the NFL. He may have natural athletic ability, but when it comes down to it, as a QB, he need some work.
