Back in August of 08, Ick talked me into doing this little football pick contest he sponsors every year. Me, not being the betting kind, tried to resist the ever increasing advances of Jason until I could no longer say NO!!!! Not to mention he said it wouldn’t cost me anything so I had nothing to lose.
After 17 weeks of football picking hell, I somehow manage to eek out a season victory over Phil by the slimmest of margins. I owe my success to the fact that this was kind of a messed up year as far as picks go so luck played a MAJOR part of it.
As promised, Jason sent me “The Package.”

I thought I had really earned this prize until I figured out what was really going on. It’s some kind of subliminal message thing Ick’s got going on to turn me to the dark side. How do I know this? Look what my wife photographed on the way home from school the other day….

I still find it great that you being a Packers fan got a former Cowboys great, and when I bought one of those mystery boxes I ended up with a former Packer great (Bart Starr)

maybe i’ll just quit my job so i can ensure i will make my picks everyweek. Grats on the victory. I got so busy i didn’t even think about picks until i missed 2 weeks and by that point i was so far out i just bowed graciously to Phil who choked it away.
