An open letter to the Dallas Cowboys,
Is this the best you have to offer your fans? Was having the Hard Knocks cameras in training camp worth it? As a fan I have several questions for your organization. First and foremost where does your *sense of entitlement* come from? You as an organization have done nothing for more then a decade. How do your put all your hopes and dreams on the shoulders of a quarterback who has proven he is merely a top ten quarterback in this league on paper only.
How your organization came into this season with Superbowl hopes is beyond me. Jerry Jones has managed to put together a roster of divas, cry babies, and players with little to no heart. Your organization is more interested in having your team in the tabloids rather then doing your talking on the football field. Your team deserves the massive beatdown your taking in Philadelphia right now. I will thank you in advance for not making excuses to why you finished your season 9-7. Please do not tell us that we would have fulfilled our hopes and dreams had we been able to keep players like Felix Jones, and Marion Barber healthy. Please don’t blame Romo’s pinky on your horrible play while he was injured. Please address your back up quarterback issues in the offseason, instead of putting all your faith in the fact that Romo will be healthy week in and week out.
Please make adjustments to your wide receiver core, first and foremost please cut Terrell Owens. I know this will be hard for you Jerry Jones, because you love to have the Cowboys names in everyone’s mouth regardless if its good or bad. How an offensive coordinator goes from a genius to someone who can’t manage to put together a decent game plan week in and week out is beyond me. If Jason Garrett is our head coach in waiting, this truly scares me. Garrents only responsibility right now is managing the offense. I can think of 31 other teams in the NFL that would love to have his problem of having that many *alleged superstars*. If Garrett can’t handle the offensive side of the ball, how is to be expected to be the head coach, responsible for a 53 man roster.
Poor game planning and execution are just a few problems on the list of several things wrong with your organization. I would like to take this time to thank the following players playing with heart, despite the drama that has surround this organization pretty much all season.

Tashard Choice
The entire defense. (Despite the fact that your guys played horrible at times this season, you never turned on eachother, and started throwing eachother under the bus to the media.
I would like to take the time to also thank Jerry Jones for applying the Al Davis philosophy to the Dallas Cowboys. You have successfully signed players to long term big money deals, and have gotten very little in return. Examples of this would be Terrence Newman, and Marion Barber. Your philosophy of low risk, big reward troubled players have also brought in Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson. Neither have cost you very much, and neither have done very much. I truly hope your new stadium works out for you. If this is the best product you have to put out on the field each and ever week, good luck selling it out.
In closing I would like to leave you, Jerry Jones with this. Please take the single biggest sign of arrogance by a franchise in the history of sports *The Americas Team* slogan and SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS! You just like 90% of the fans in Dallas seem to think because you have Dallas next to your name, that your entitled to something. Dallas fans got spoiled in the 90′s with 3 Superbowls, and a Stanley Cup. As your franchise as proven each and every year since 96, winning a playoff game is not a guaranteed thing! Please do not tell us how great your team is in the offseason, we need to see something! Your word means diddly shit to us anymore.

*PS* If anyone has a problem with the above open letter to the Dallas Cowboys, please go back and review this season. It will help fuel your anger with this organization. If you feel I have been to harsh in my observation of this organization and your waiting for an apology, let me know how waiting works out for you, cause it ain’t happenin. Just like the Cowboys going to the playoffs this season.

The problem with the cowboys isn’t the players Jerry aquired (although I’m admitably less than fond of some of them). The problem is with the coaches Jerry hired.
Jerry hired Garrett before the head coach was even in place. Fuck, Jerry has been planting his ‘yes men’ buddies anywhere he can in this organization. Dave Campo anyone?!?
While coaches should have a large say in what players are on the roster… Wade doesn’t even have a say what coaches are under him (ok, I’ll be fair, he at least got his choice of a defensive coordinator)
There is a reason the Miami Dolphins made the playoffs after going 1-15 and the cowboys missed the playoffs just 1 year after a 13-3.
and for the record, I was the ‘idiot’ claiming the cowboys would go 7-9 from training camp on, while all the other fans were dreaming of superbowl berths… it wasn’t because of the players on the roster though.
2009 doesn’t look promising unless there is a new coach hired that is permitted to clean house of some current players AND COACHES and replace them with ‘his guys’.

What a way to end the season!! Pacman fumbles, T.O. drops passes, and the vaunted Cowgirl offense scores 3 points!! The local Stub Hub will be inundated with Dallas fans who just knew they had the Super Bowl locked up and scrounged up tickets!! Sure hope they can cancel the rest of the travel plans they’ve made. And ya’ll thought the Texans were bad!! Sad to think that El Diablo may have the second best team in Texas!!! :rotflmao:

I would NEVER have believed it, Ick talking somewhat bad about the Cowpies…
That speaks volumes regarding the Cowpies, their owner, their coaches and the 2008 season as a whole!!

Agreed, Jerry putting coaches in place before the head coach has been, and will continue to be a major problem with this team. As far as Newman, I wouldn’t have included him in the post if A) He could play 16 games in a season, which he hasn’t done in about 2-3 seasons and B) Had Jerry not just gave him a big contract in the offseason.

If the Texans can get a coach, you would be correct, Jerry Jones would have the second best *Roster* in Texas. I refuse to use the word *Team* and the Cowboys in the same sentence. The Texans may be 8-8 this season, but atleast they play as a team, and do not bash eachother to the media.

I gotta say, I had hoped for much better, but when they are playing in Philly….they gotta be twice as tough. Those people are raving lunatics. I don’t think they take that kind of pressure very well. And Short Person was right….even thought she shouldn’t say it……Romo really DOES suck. He’s not a finisher, and unless they get a GOOD second string, they’re going to have the same problem, next year. They aren’t playing as a team. It’s just a bunch of guys wearing tight pants (nice hineys though), making way too much money, and they, for some reason, believe they deserve it. Go figure. :bigeyes:

Well thank you.. glad you enjoyed the post. I agree with you and SP about Romo, he is a great QB on paper (Stats wise) to bad for him and the Cowboys, you play the game on the field.
This season should be a wake up call to Jerry Jones, so he will make changes, first and foremost he needs to step down as the GM and hire someone who has a f**king clue. Then he needs to bring in a strong coach, and leave him the hell alone. You don’t pay your head coach $3 million dollars a year to treat him like a puppet!
