Matt Ryan winning Offensive Rookie Of The Year should really come as surprise to anyone. When the Falcons drafted him 3rd overall in the draft last year they were rebuilding for the future. They didn’t realize the future would come this year. Ryan has not only led the Falcons back into the Playoffs with an 11-5 record, he along with Michael Turner have brought hope back to a franchise that went through alot of turmoil last year. Not only did they loose their franchise quarterback, but their head coach packed up his office and made his way out the backdoor after 13 games.
Alot of people refer to the 1999 draft class as one of the best in draft history, I have a feeling in 10 years people will be talking about the 2008 class. Here are just a few players from the 2008 draft class that have made an immediate impacts on the teams that drafted them.

Why didn’t you list Mike Jenkins?!? In all seriousness, he might go down in history as the biggest pussy to ever put on cleats. That deserves serious mention when denoting individual feats by a draft class.

I can’t find his best “play of the weak” where he RAN AWAY from the wedge he was supposed to break up on kickoff coverage (his vacant hole allowed a touchdown). He literally backpedaled away from his assignment.
Seriously, kickers have more balls then that guy. Matt Ryan’s rookie year is like Marino’s… Jenkins rookie year is like a 13 year old girl’s.
