Mike Shanahan is added to the list of head coaches without a team? No one including Shanahan saw that one coming.  I mean sure his Broncos basically gave their division away, blowing a 3 game lead with around a month to go. Sure he is 24-24 over the last 3 years, but damn! I doubt Shanahan will be unemployed very long. There are atleast 3 teams in need of a solid coach.  Hey Shanahan, please come coach the Cowboys! You can even punch Jerry Jones if he comes down to the sideline. I would think that would be a pretty good perk to take the job.  I can guarantee you one thing, Shanahan would grab a ladder and climb in Tony Romo’s ass everytime he turned the ball over.

Random thought, but I wonder how much of his $20 million that is still left on his contract will he see?? Here are Shanahan’s stats during his 14 years with the Broncos

Wow…we agree again!?! Shanahan would be a great fit for Dallas. Here are some reasons:
    1. Like Dallas, he is great at getting rid of good running backs.
    2. He signed Maurice Claret and Travis Henry (who has been installed as a 7:2 favorite to win the Breeder’s Cup), so Pacman and T.O. will feel right at home.
    3. Like Dallas, he has one playoff win in the last 10 years.
    4. Like Dallas, he loves signing retreads which will keep Roy Williams happy.
    5. He’s used to a QB turning the ball over in the Red Zone- so Romo will feel right at home.

Not so fast, Dragon. I think He’d do well there. They’d be just a Davis and Elway away from true successs.

Shan did do well after those two retired, right? I forget.

Since Elway left, Denver has been just a “good” football team. They were great in the Elway era because he made them that way (and I’m not an Elway fan by any stretch, but have to give him his due). The one thing I will say for Shanahan is that if T.O. were to go to him and whine about how many passes get thrown his way, I’m sure he would be told to just try and catch the ones that are thrown his way before the name on his jersey gets changed to DURAN (aka “hands of stone”). The whole team needs to go to group therapy. Maybe El Diablo could hire Rodney King to help everyone just get along!!
