Edgerrin James has requested to be released, but the Cardinals are having none of that. The Cardinals are atop a horrible division and like having James on the bench. I guess as a leader, or maybe a cheerleader. James has been benched after he lost his starting job to rookie Tim Hightower.
“Edgerrin isn’t trying to cause any problems,” Rosenhaus said. “He has had a Hall of Fame career and he has enjoyed his stay in Arizona. But it’s apparent that he’s probably not going to be back with the Cardinals next season. If that’s the case, he can move and help another team and get a start now.”
Now before the start of the season I would have said if James couldn’t be a starter in Arizona, where would he be able to start? I don’t see a team in the league right now that James could be the starter. Even the Detroit Lions have a better running back then James.
