Add the 2010 NBA All Star game to the growing list of events to be held at Jerry World. David Stern is beside himself thinking about the 50,000 people that will be able to attend the game. 50,000 fans getting to attend the game must put a smile on Sterns face, yeah right. Stern is counting all that money this size of a game will generate. The American Airlines Center will play host to the Slam Dunk, and 3 Point Contest. In my opinion these are more fun to attend then the actual All Star game. Lajitas and I were able to attend one of these back in Houston many years ago, they are always a blast.
Mark Cuban has not pushed to host an All Star game here in Dallas because he doesn’t want Mavs season ticket holders to not be able to join in the fun. According to what I understand, all season ticket holders will be able to attend the game, now that it is being hosted out at Jerry World.
The list of events being booked by Jerry and his crack staff is growing by the day. So far Jerry World is set to host..
2010 NBA All Star Game
2011 Superbowl
The Cotton Bowl (Starting in 2010)
Several other games that are normally played at the Cotton Bowl. Example Arkansas/Texas A&M
Jerry is also trying to host the final four at some point.
Maybe when the NHL All Star game comes back to Dallas, it can also be hosted at Jerry World. If the Rangers ever make a world series, lets host it there as well. That way Jerry can say he has hosted it all!!! *Shakes Head*
