Apparently when you sign a multimillion dollar deal to play pro sports, you have to love every single team in the city where you play. Dan Gilbert, GM of the Cavaliers finds it an *insult to the city of Cleveland* that LeBron James wears a New York Yankees hat everywhere he goes, and was wearing a Dallas Cowboys hat while attending the Browns home opener.  Everyone knows that James is good friends with Jay Z, part owner of the New Jersey Nets. Rumors started flying about the possible addition of James when the Nets traded Jason Kidd to the Mavericks, and started dumping other weight off the salary cap.

I highly doubt that James is the first athlete in the history of sports not to support every single team that plays in their city. James’s contract is up in two years, and IF he decides to go to go to the highest bidder, then perhaps Gilbert should think about what he could have done to prevent this. It’s no secret that James has been upset with the lack of help on the court the Cav’s have offered him during his time with the Cav’s.

Childhood friend, and reader of the Corner Frank is sure that James will end up as a Net before its all said and done. I tend to agree with him on this one.
