The Yankees released the price list for season tickets at the new stadium today, and I was thinking hey that’s not to bad, considering the money being spent on this new stadium then I got to this…
“Prices for the best seats were announced in March, with the Yankees charging $500-$2,500 for tickets near home plate in the first nine rows, contained in 25 sections ringing home plate. In all, the Yankees have sold more than 3,500 of approximately 4,300 premium seats on the field, main and terrace levels, chief operating officer Lonn Trost said Friday”
$2500?? To sit in a seat to watch a baseball game??? You can buy a car for that? I would be left to assume that is per seat. So if you have a family of 4 getting season tickets behind home plate, that is $10 grand! You can buy a decent car for that! Visit your local Carmax for details!
I’m sure glad I don’t live in New York, and I’m not a Yankees fan! Hell for those prices even if I had grown up a die hard Yankees fan, and lived in New York I might have to commit the ultimate sin and become a Met’s fan!
