If there was ever a more truthfull comment made, I have never heard one. If you know anything about players from the past and players in the present, you know this too be true.
They care nothing about their teams, coaches, fans or cities. Only how many more dollars they can sign their contract for, we believe they should care about their lives, make as much money as they can. But, do it with pride and care for the name on the front of the jersey too! Garvey did and no one can say different, he is one of the best ever.

I agree completely. Garvey played in an era where the TEAM came first. I wish more of todays athletes could understand *Team first* Your big money contracts and ego Second!
