Before I start, I choose to use a picture of Cedric Benson back from his Longhorns days to remind people at one time he could actually run for more then 3 yards at a time.
So with Benson’s date with an Austin courthouse rapidly approaches, someone thought it would be a good idea to interview Ricky Williams.. oh this was classic..
Williams told the American-Statesman that things would have played out differently if he had been on Benson’s boat.
“I think if I had come down, things might have worked out a little bit differently,” Williams, who is entering the final year of his contract with the Dolphins, told the newspaper. “I find I have a calming influence on people I’m around.
Dude.. its not you man, its the joint, bong, blunt, sweet, or brownie you bring with you to any social gathering that has the calming influence! Sorry man, just keeping it real.
Benson claims he was treated unfairly by Lower Colorado River Authority officers back on May third when he was arrested for boating while intoxicated, and resisting arrest. Well good news for him is there have been 2 witnesses that have come forward to back up his story.
More to come after court on Monday. For Benson’s sake, I hope Ricky doesn’t show up to be a calming influence! ;)

It wasn’t the Austin Police Department who arrested him. It was the LRCA police.
