It was a beautiful weekend here in Wisconsin. After a Saturday of sucking down some brew and enjoying a bit of Rehorst Vodka, Sunday was a day for working out in the yard and hanging with the family. The viewing of the Indy 500 was limited to say the least. The racing I did see was good. It didn’t look like a runaway win for anybody which is good for the spectators. This race, like NASCAR, is all about strategy except part of the strategy is to avoid the rubbing that NASCAR fans so enjoy. One thing NASCAR doesn’t have is the lovely ladies that can drive the wheels of the cars. Of the 3 women that started, only Milka Duno finished the race running. To their credit, Sarah Fisher and Danica Patrick both crashed out of the race but neither crash was caused by them. Danica was running near the top 10 at the time of her crash which was caused by another driver fish tailing out of his pits.

The highlight of the day.. Former MotoGP Wolrd Champ Nicky Hayden showing off his bike and skills before the race..
Nicky also suited up in the retro garb and ran around on a 1909 Indian…..Way cool.

Blog Thoughts: I would like to see the who city of Indianapolis move to somewhere in Texas. Why you ask. The racers all ran 100% ethanol and Texas has banned the use of biofuels……. I really got tired of seeing the commercials and hearing about how wonderful ethanol is…. Reality… IT’S CRAP!!!!!

Lajitas and I were able to block off a few hours on sunday to watch the race. When Danica Patrick got hit in pit row.. when she finally got out of her car, she was hot, and walked down pit row to chew someone a new one! Classic!!!!
